Our Story
The Centre for Governance & Innovation (CGI) was established with a vision to address the evolving challenges of governance and sustainability through interdisciplinary research and innovation. Founded by Imran Hossain, a young scholar and university lecturer with a strong background in environmental governance, smart technology, and sustainable development, CGI emerged as a response to the growing need for adaptive and forward-thinking governance models. Imran’s academic journey and extensive research experience revealed a critical gap between traditional governance structures and the practical solutions required to navigate contemporary issues such as climate change, environmental degradation, and urban resilience. Recognizing this disconnect, he set out to build an institution that would bridge policy, research, and innovation in a cohesive and impactful manner.
